Braids Girl

This book is about this little girl named Isabella but most people call her Izzzy. She likes to go help her Grandpa Mike do Volunteer work. One day she went with her Grandpa and she saw this girl that had braids that Izzzy thought was poor, so she gave her so of her cloth she didn't ware anymore. Izzzy didn't like how she wasn't happy by it, so she was confused by how she didn't like it. Izzzy keep giving and giving by she still just didn't get it. Though the ups and downs they found away with Gods help and become good friends, and play together all the time. This story has a good meaning and that is why I like it. The pictures are done very nicely drown by Tim Ladwig with water color.

This book in compassionate and heartwarming

The real hero in this book is one of the main characters, Izzy! When Izzy decides to help her grandpa volunteer at a homeless shelter she meets a mysterious little girl with long braids that makes a lasting impression on her. Izzy wants to be just like her grandpa and make people happy, but the results of her efforts toward the Braids Girl are not the ones she is expecting. What the Braids girl really wants is a friend to accept her even though she is homeless. The Braids Girl wanted to be treated like a regular person not a charity case. Young readers will cheer for Izzy when she finally realizes the need for love nd acceptance is what lies deep in the hearts of anyone, no matter our age, race, gender or social standing. This story is full of compassion and it reveals that everyone has something of value to give.
