Chesapeake Weddings

I had the opportunity to read Chesapeake Weddings and truly recommend this book. If you're the type of person who do not like to read but want to start I guarantee this book. You will not be disappointed. I love how Cecelia Dowdy corporates the characters into the other two stories from the first one. It shows the value of true friendship and the difficulties that they have to go through. They can each encourage each other with I know what you're going through because of my experience. You can make it because I did. Cecelia Dowdy writes to an African American audience, but you will look past skin color and realize that this is a book for everyone. Love and romance can be appreciated by everyone.

Chesapeake Weddings

I enjoyed all three stories in the first story it was interesting seeing how John's mind works as an Agnostic. I loved how Cecelia let us see Johns thought process. The interaction between Monica and Scotty was lovely to see and showing just cos you have a disability doesn't mean you cant have a life was great. I found the whole story interesting and you know what I love about this book, Monica is in her late 30's and I do enjoy reading books featuring older heroines, Thanks Cecelia. Story two I enjoyed the rural setting as I come from a rural area also. When we first meet Frank he helps Emily deliver a calf with her thinking hes the vet. I liked how this book started then as Emily finds out hes the Accountant who she didn't want to hire it gets interesting. Frank has baggage which we see right from the start and I was interested in how Cecelia would work with it. I enjoy the country girl city boy encounters. story 3 was my favourite story. I like the way that both Karen and Keith both have issues to deal with and Cecelia didn't give them the easy option to fix the issues. It was good to watching this story unfold. I really hope there will be another book as there is room for a follow up to answer some questions particularly about a couple of charactors.

My book Review For Bittersweet Memories: I so loved this book! This is my first book that I read of Cecelia Dowdy but it sure won't be my last! I absolutley love how she writes. In Bittersweet Memories she mixes suspense with some romance. So, I think it would appeal to many people looking for a book to read. I found myself not wanting to put the book down. Cecelia made the characters in the story come alive! That to me is a good author and a good read! Thanks Cecelia for writing this book. I look forward to reading all of your books! My Book Review For Milk Money: I enjoyed this book. I thought it was full of drama. The kind of drama that keeps you wanting to read to find out what is going to happen next in the story. Then of course, Cecelia Dowdy adds the romance into the story. I thought it was a good read. My review for John's Quest: I really loved this book. I felt such compassion towards the characters in this story. I realize it is fiction, but I could see this story line being reality for people. That's when you know you are reading great writing by an author. In this case, by Cecelia Dowdy. Thanks for letting me review each of your books. I sure hope that you keep writing, Cecelia.

A Wonderful Author with 3 Wonderful Stories!!!

This is a wonderful collection to have! It's full of good, clean romance and God! Definitely grab a copy of this book today! She knows how to make God's light shine through the pages of John's Quest, a book that will be in her upcoming release, Chesapeake Weddings. Cecelia brings Monica and John, two very different people, together in an unexpected way to help each other out and through these two very different people, she teaches us about the importance of completely relying on and surrendering ourselves to God and His will for us. And in doing that, we might just find out that our dreams will come true. In my opinion, Cecelia Dowdy is an author worthy of many praises for writing a wonderful, inspiring five star book. Highly recommended! Milk Money: I read Cecelia's first book, John's Quest, and LOVED that one, so I was excited to get to read this book! And let me tell you...I was not disappointed! Cecelia did another wonderful job with capturing my heart and letting God shine through in her story, Milk Money, book 2 in her upcoming release, Chesapeake Weddings. Her plot line in this book was outstanding! She tells the story of Emily, who's father has passed away, leaving her sole proprietor of the family's dairy farm. But, she soon finds out about Frank, the alcoholic accountant hired to help keep the farm. Cecelia did a wonderful job in pulling reality into this Godly fiction story. She adds just the right amount of twists in the plot to keep you turning page after page, you're sure to not want the book to end (I know I didn't!).The characters tugged at my heart and I couldn't help but pray for them! I highly recommend this book with 5 stars, for an evening by the fireplace read. It's full of love and hope and best of all, full of our Loving Heavenly Father shining through Cecelia's words! Well done, again, Cecelia! Bittersweet Memories: Wow! I am so amazed with Ceclia's work! It just gets better and better with each book. I loved Cecelia's books, John's Quest and Milk Money, and this one is no different...it did not disappoint. In Bittersweet Memories, Cecelia pulls together amazing new characters and a plot that will capture your heart from the beginning. She tells a story of heartache, broken trust, yearning and learning to accept God's redeeming love and His will. I can relate alot to Karen with her broken trust issues, but I also felt drawn to Keith and his struggles as well. They were just fit so well with the plot and I didn't want to say goodbye to these new friends.I was smiling and praying with them and I even found myself crying at the end. If you are looking for a wonderful, heart warming and God filled story then I definitely suggest that you grab a copy of Chesapeake Weddings, which includes this amazing story, Bittersweet Memorie

sweet love story

I have ready Bittersweet Memories (one of the stories in this book). It is a nice sweet love story. Girl's heart is broken, tries to escape by leaving town, meets new guy (but won't admit she's falling for him), obstacles in the way and a resolution of them living happily ever after. Sometimes I just really enjoy a happy story with a happy ending with no big surprises. Great reading for the beach or pool this summer You can read the first chapter here:[...].
