Elizabeth Johnson was a woman who knew her own mind. When Chase the Wind rode into town, Beth took one look at the stormy eyes of the Apache warrior and understood that this time she must follow her... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I didn't even know that this book was a sequel until I finished it and read the author's letter at the end. But now I understand why the parents of the main characters in this book where given so much time. Apperently, they were the main characters in the original book, "Apache Runaway."Truely, "Chase the Wind" isn't so much an Indian Romance. There are a few chapters in the beginning where the main couple are living outdoors, but after that it becomes very domestic. It actually gets a bit depressing at times because it so emphasizes how much the Apaches had lost and how they would never live freely again. There were some boring parts where you wish that some excitement would start up finally. On the good side, the scenes are well- written so you are able to picture them in your mind. The characters are likable. (Although the leading lady is a bit too dainty at times.) There are some exciting scenes to keep you reading. The ending was a bit too much. Predictable and quite corny. Everyone in the story ends up finding love and getting married... and I do literally mean EVERYONE! But overall, the book was entertaining.
Wonderful Book!

Madeline Baker has done it again. This is the sequel to Apache Runaway and it is absolutely spectacular! This book had my complete and total attention. I recommend it for all romance readers. The many story lines in this book let your imagination run wild with what could happen. I don't want to let on to what happens because once you begin you can't put it down. In all her books there is never a dull moment. I am a very pleased reader with all her books, especially this one.
Wonderful.

Put simply, this is a good read. The characters were great and the setting was so true to life. I enjoyed it and think anyone who likes westerns would enjoy it. It is one of my favorites in the last year along with Savage Heat and Cynthia Simmons, Anything, My Love. None should be missed. Also enjoyed Fantasy Lover.
COME LET MADELINE BAKER TAKE YOU BACK IN TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
