Reviewed by Madeline McElroy (age 7) for Reader Views (10/08) "A Pony Legend" is about a girl named Meg who lost her pony named Foxy. Meg's favorite thing to do was take care of her pony. One day in the Spring Foxy jumped over the fence and galloped across the meadow. A few weeks later a new pony came to Meg's house. This pony was magical; he could read Meg's mind. Many weeks later Meg woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of a horse neighing on the mountain. Then the magical pony Azure started neighing back to the sound on the mountain. It was Foxy on the mountain! She came back to Meg and Azure. This isn't the end of the story; you should read this book and find out how magical Azure really is. I like this book about ponies and I think other kids would like to read "A Pony Legend" by Lois K. Szymanski. Even though this book has no pictures it is still really good.
