Simple, quick read

As a homeschool mother looking for books that make history into a story, rather than a dull chore, this book was just the thing. It is short and contains the kinds of details that stick with you. Since this book was written for young people, the more gruesome and nefarious items were left out. But so were the long descriptions that bog down both young and old. Altogether, I found it entertaining and a valuable addition to any curriculum.
