Road map of thought-provoking fun

Changing Lanes: Road Maps to Midlife Renewal I originally bought this book to benefit an old friend and former partner, not expecting the invaluable joy it has turned out to give me. What this book is NOT: boring, pedantic, typical. What it is: clever, intriguing, efficient. I felt relief and happiness after reading it, not overwhelmed or incompetent like most books with such a theme. "It was music to my ears." (After you pick up the book, you'll get the true meaning of that last sentence.) Enjoy.

A motivating read

What a refreshing outlook! For those of us who do not have one burning passion to follow, Changing Lanes offers an inspiring perspective to help us move forward nonetheless and alter our status quo. I wish this book had been published when we retired early from our stressful high-tech jobs. We could have used some of its insightful information on how to achieve that next chapter in our lives - replacing a career-dominated life with more personal, meaningful endeavors. Share it with your friends and you'll be surprised at the endless possibilities for personal transformation.

An outstanding read

Changing Lanes is extremely engaging and motivating. On top of that it is very readable - in fact I read it cover to cover in one day. I have read many, many books on career management but never one that looked at real case studies. My British colleague also read the book and was as impressed as I was. We immediately placed an order for our respective UK and Swiss practices and have shared this book with highly appreciative professionals who wish to take a step back and reflect on where they are and what they want to do going forward.
