This is a great book if your in law school taking Con Law I. However it would also be very helpful to just have an overview of the history of the justices in the Supreme Court. It basically just goes court by court, time period by time period and discusses generally what went on and how the justices reacted to the political movements of the time. ITS A VERY CONCISE BOOK. A VERY EASY READ. Its only about 200 pages, and can be knocked out in 2 hours if your reading straight through without taking notes. I strongly suggest this book if your taking Con Law I from a historical perspective. If your professor teaches about court from a history stance its great.
