Refreshing Insights, New Ideas?

When I bought this item, I did expect more. What I got, however, was a nice-to-read collection of articles about interesting subjects. Nothing more, but also nothing less. A lovely read for an evening by the hearth, but nothing that would excite the avid seeker of the new and curious.

An excellent survey

Both science and health collections at the college level will benefit highly from The Dana Foundation's CEREBRUM: EMERGING IDEAS IN BRAIN SCIENCE, a compendium of brain research in a yearly anthology representing how prominent neuroscientists and others react to new discoveries about the brain. It's drawn from Cerebrum's Web edition and brings together experts who use lay language to discuss biology, ethics, science, and contemporary issues ranging from hidden memories to issues of understanding 'sin'. An excellent survey, CEREBRUM 2007 will find a place on the shelves of any serious college-level health or science collection.
