A Friend

Rhiannon Ryall was my teacher at a time when I did not know what direction to take. Her West Country Wicca book opened some doors for me but still left me with questions until she sent me a copy of the "Keltic Lore and Druidic Ritual" book. It answered many of my questions and even though I did not have all the answers I was looking for it did point me in a positive direction. I personally knew and wrote Rhiannon for almost 3 years but then we lost track of each other. She was a dear and kind woman with a great deal of wisdom and compassion. I cared about her very much and only wish I could have gotten the opportunity to meet her and know so much more. To the person who made the statement that she stole this information, I have it on good authority that she obtained this information with permission from some Druid friends. If said person would like to discuss this further you can reach me at my email address of - druid717@sympatico.ca. I can provide you with proof to the contrary of your statements. Also no group, or person can claim that all there information is there own. We all have sources that we draw from for our information, so to say that someone stole that information is ludicrous given the fact that it is information that she could have very well learned when she was growing through her path or information that was shared with her. However, if she plagiarized information from a copyrighted or published source without permission that is another matter. To make an accusation without the possibility of rebuttal is the act of a coward and should be ignored.

A friend in the West

This book was not written for people who want things handed to them on a platter. She explains that she wrote all her books in a traditional way,so that when the learner is ready ,she/he will understand.I read this one and all her others every once in a while and I learn and understand new things as I change and grow.I wish all the books on the paths were written in such a manner. Then, the price We pay is definately worth it....a true teaching and teacher!

Interesting

I have actually met the author of this book, and own other titles written by her. The purpose of Keltic Lore & Druidic Ritual was not as a BOS or "how to", but rather to explain a tradition familiar to the author - what was celebrated, how and when. It is not a book that I would recommend to a beginner or someone who has just started studying Celtic traditions. However, for the experienced practitioner or student, it makes an interesting read. I will always treasure my copy.

Those with ears to hear and eyes to see...

The style is scattered, and it certainly is not like popular 'cookbook' approaches to magic. No, it is not a training manual, or BOS. It is bits of lore and ritual pointing to a pre-Gardnerian tradition. It requires readers to do a bit of work on their own in order to benefit from the information. It is not a book for the novice, as it will appear mostly meaningless and jumbled. Finally a book with information that isn't spoon fed to the reader
