An Important Book for Teens, Parents, and Those in the Helping Profession

"Celebrate You!" is a book that was written specifically for teens re: what self-esteem is, what can cause low self-esteem, & how to build your self-esteem - as well as several great ideas for "getting through" the teen years. Although this book has a lot of great information, it's relatively short - less than 70 pages - and it's written in an easy to understand format (with many great examples & exercises). As a result, I think it's "just the right" size for teenagers. I suggest that the parents read it first (as there are several great ideas that parents can implement), and then have their teen read it, and then discuss it together. Overall, I would highly recommend "Celebrate You!" to ALL parents & teens, as well as those who work in the helping professions - what can be more important than building the self-esteem of "our" children & ourselves?
