I read parts of this book 23 years ago. It was written in the brief interlude between the invention of the CD and the development of the World Wide Web, when email was still novel and hypertext was theoretical. In those days, the CD promised a revolution in publishing, an inexpensive way to deliver vast amounts of knowledge and instructional multimedia. If I remember correctly, Bill Gates Sr. (THE Gates father) wrote the foreword. Every historian of the information age will want a copy of this book.
