Start your knitting season right!

I got this book a couple of weeks ago and already am in the middle of a couple of projects. Great designs - elegant and universal, easy to follow instructions, helpful techniques section. Anybody will find patterns to their liking. The book really inspires you to pick up your knitting needles. What a great start for the fall season!

Great selection of patterns for men and women

Casual Elegant Knits contains a lovely collection of about 24 patterns for men and women (no babies or children's wear). The patterns are divided into three groups, "City Life";"Elegant Afternoon"; and "Gotta Have It." For women, my favorites were the Lacy Scarf and simple but elegant silk tank. For men, I especially like the Gypsy Cable Scarf; the Sleek Line Sweater; and the Melange Scarf -- patterns the guys I know would actually wear and I'd enjoy knitting! I like that there are so many large, clear photographs of the projects, too.

Well planned knitting book

Out of the 24 patterns in this book, 11 are for men which is a rare find in a knitting book. All of the patterns are clean and classic. You could wear them for years. But my favorite are the 2 skirt patterns. Unlike many knitted skirts that are tights and clingy, these are more free-flowing and figure flattering.

Perfect gift for the knitter in your life.....

Just gave this as a gift to my aunt and she absolutely loves it. I made her promise me to make the driving cap and my younger cousin is already begging her to make a pair of the fingerless gloves for this fall. A few new modern twists on some classic designs!!
