This is the story of Alisha Whitlaw who is on her way to the Colonies after having heard of her father's murder by the hands of the British. During a storm at Sea she is swept over board and later rescued by Justin Martel Captain of the Vixen, who happens to be a Patriot on his way to support General Washington in the war. What follow are pages and pages of great love scenes, mixed in with the exciting story, which lets face it, is why we read the Historical Romance Novels. :0) Two thumbs up for Kathleen Drymon for this one.
A fun switch for this author

Kathleen Drymon is best known for her excellent Indian romance novels. This was a nice switch. I enjoyed following her writing style through a whole different atmosphere. The story is exciting. The heroin is brave and smart, which I enjoy a lot. All too often, the woman in a romance book is written to be helpless. Not so in this story! The leading man is a classic Drymon hero. You'll wish you had a man just like him!The story centers around a lot of exciting American history. This was a fun read!
They don't write 'em like this any more.

Alisha was swept overboard and rescued by a handsome rouge (of course) of a captain. The normal passion, love ya, hate ya, love ya and want ya, but it's fun getting there. It was a great read and I haven't read one of these in years and forgot how much I enjoyed them.
