A great "what if" ghost book

When I first began to write the first edition of my own book, The Art of Ghost Hunting, I wrote in the first chapter about consciousness itself and the brain/mind/soul question, which I believe to be at the crux of the ghost riddle. So when I picked up The Case for Ghosts, I was elated that another author had independently saw this line of questioning to be essential to the overall quest of answering the question as to whether or not ghosts exist. Rather than a how-to book, or a collection of ghost stories and anecdotes, this book presents speculations as to what could scientifically explain ghosts should they exist using reason. He also discusses a variety of ghost types, and gives a brief introductory chapter on ghost hunting for those who are unfamiliar with it. He walks the line between believer and skeptic allowing the reader to make their own determination. I found the book to be written in a plain and easy to understand manner. True he states that he is not a ghost hunter. But at this point in time there are no experts in ghosts, as there are no ghost hunters with Ph. D.s in ghost hunting. Speculation, is all that anyone is doing to date, because that is all that is possible in the current day with the tools and technology we have available to us. And I found it refreshing to read the speculations and opinions written by someone from outside of the field, who hasn't been bogged down by some of the conventions and "common knowledge." All in all, worth the money for any scientifically and philosophically minded person who interested in the subject of ghosts. Jaeson K. Superb reading~ I found it hard to put it down!

Every book has its own personality, and this one will keep you turning the pages long into the night.~ J. Allan Danelek's book~ The Case for Ghosts,is the type of book which ghost hunters and paranormal readers will find fascinating, and a helpful reference. Whether you are a believer or a skeptic,The Case for Ghosts is a treat for all lovers of the supernatural. This one of a kind and thought provoking book will appeal to anyone with an interest in ghosts and hauntings.I found this book very hard to put down, and find myself referring back to it over and over again. Albert Einstein demonstrated that energy never dissipates,it only transmutes into other forms. In chapter five,The Psychology of Ghosts,Mr.Danelek examins some of the more common reasons paranormal investigators give to explain why some souls prefer to stay earthbound, while others appear to move on.This is a fascinating chapter and a personal favorite of mine. From Poltergeists and animal spirits to Ouija boards and spirit photography,The Case for Ghosts is a delightful read and an exciting journey into the supernatural. You will not be disappointed in this well-written work! 5 STARS and two thumbs up!

A great paranormal read

Thought provoking and insightful, Danelek offers the reader a glimpse into the world of ghost and other paranormal related subjects. This is not your typical ghost book where you see pages and pages of case history and documentation, rather he presents an objective look as he educates and entertains. I see this book being used as a tool by many paranormal groups, I know as the founder of my own group we will encorporate it into our basic training.

Great Ghost book

I think that this is one of the most accurate and level headed "ghost" books that I have read. It was refreshing reading a book that views the subject from a neutral view. I would recommend anyone from the novice to the experienced paranormal researcher. No matter what your level of experience it will be a great read.
