Casablanca is fabulously iconic!

This is one of the finest movies ever made! Casablanca was still occupied France, being a refugee stop over & a quickly changing atmosphere where society's undesirables were commonplace, pick pockets, con men, dealers of transportation papers exploiting desperate people looking for a way to get to America. There is an unrequited love story between Rick(Humphrey Bogart)& Ilsa(Ingrid Bergman) but the story is so much more, being a showcase of heroism, patriotism, sacrifice, martyrdom, refusal to be subjected to the tyranny of the Nazis & their treachery. Claude Rains is great as the Captain Reno & Victor Lazlo(Paul Heinreid) is the Czech Resistance leader the Nazis want to capture. His scene in Rick's Cafe outsinging the Nazis is classic(Viva! La France!). And there is Rick's piano player "Play it Sam" playing "As Time Goes By". Also you'll see Sidney Greenstreet & Peter Lorre. The melodrama plays out with an extraordinary cast & moves quickly in an exciting, well told script. Its a great classic! There's also included a documentary narrated by Bogie's wife, Lauren Bacall. Here's looking at you, kid.
