I'm obsessed with Simon and Baz.

I never read fangirl, so I came into this blind, but I ended up falling in love with this book!

I DEVOURED this book!

I absolutely love this book! If you like books about British teens at magic schools, you’ll love it too. It’s charming, sweet, funny, and absurd. A very fun read!

Deep Emotions

Have you ever wanted to spend a weekend in your feels? This is the book for you! Well built characters, fantastic world building, and too many complex emotions to name.

Amazingly moving

I wasn't planning on being swept up into this book like a tidal wave pulling back out to sea. But I was. Literally obsessed.

I adored this book!

This book was all kinds of fun! It had all my favorite fantasy and romance tropes while still managing to keep them exciting. The book does sort of chuck you into the world from the get-go and some things aren't explained for a while, but if you know anything about fantasy books you can pick it up pretty good. I found myself quite invested in the characters and where they're going by the end. I'm definitely checking out the sequels!

Amazing and adventurous!

This book makes me cry every time I read it, not because it sad but purely because I love it so much. It's a very entertaining story of growth (with sone quality lgbtq+ romance) and adventure.

A Slow Burn but Worth it!

This book is a slow burn. Rowell was able to write through the perspectives of each character really well, which created the perfect dilemma of trying to figure out who was truly good and who was evil. Along with her amazing ability to keep the readers on their toes with big twists and shocking revelations, she was able to create a beautiful book that is fun to read but also thought provoking. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves magic and mystery with a sprinkle of coming of age and romance.

A wonderful journey

This is a must read for Harry Potter fans. It simultaneously corrects some issues that may be taken with the series, and writes an entirely new world to enjoy. The universe Rowell builds is a delightful entry in the "magical boarding school" genre, and takes a fascinating series of twists that will make you question the established tropes. I highly recommend it!

One of my all-time favorites. :)
