Caroline Pearce is always bragging about her collection of porcelain dolls, but no one has ever seen them. Some of her friends, especially Jessica Wakefield, wonder if Caroline really has dolls at... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I read this book on a road trip when my cousin brought it along and I was bored, and I really loved it. I was fascinated with dolls as a child so this book sparked my interest in reading it. Basically the kids at school are to bring in their collections for show and tell and caroline keeps bragging about her dolls, and when elizabeth finds out that she made it up, caroline begs her to promise not to tell. Then caroline brought in one of her dolls after the boys had played around with it, lost it and then she found it at school. It turned out that was her only doll and very special to her becuase she kept it in a case and took it with her whenever she travelled and had stickers of where they went all over the case. Other collections talked about were Lila's hairbow collection, a stamp collection, elizabeth's animal books collection, jessica's "jessica" collection and some others. Enjoyable for ages 7 and up.
