First read a biography or two about George IV and at least one about his father.

This is the ultimate English folly built by a Prince for the King he ultimately became. He was one of the very few truly educated people in the royal line(s) and while a bit wild and crazy, his over-the-top architecture is here as we only can now see it - in drawings. But what an imagination!
