This famous and well beloved artist's autobiography completed shortly before his death was published in 1931 (twelve years later) it came as a giant surprise to the Swedish public. Here was a man successful because of harmonious (picture perfect) family portraits who unburdens his soul. When his pessimistic moods became evident in parts of this book it was a surprise to many. This book brings Larsson's words to the English-reading world for better understanding.
