Arch Humor (Just no arch enemy!)

Amazingly fresh and funny - even though this ground has been covered many times before, Robillard, manages to put a new spin on things and even dream up some new angles of his own. Gag piles on top of gag as he deconstructs the comic book universe and focuses a wicked lens on all of contemporary living. My favorite bit is a web based matchup site for heros and villians to find the arch enemy of their dreams. A great read.

Too funny to put down

Captain Freedom: A Superhero's Quest for Truth, Justice, and the Celebrity He So Richly DeservesWitty new material, absolutely hilarious, fantastic book. Keep 'em coming, G. Xavier Robillard!

Superhumanly clever and fun

I thought that I knew all there was to know about superheroes. I thought I'd seen more than enough limited series graphic novels, post-modern deconstructions, parodies, movie adaptations and re-imaginings. But this book surprised me with its barrage of drollery and brains. Fresh and smart and funny. I'm still laughing a week later.

Great fun

I laughed until i fell off my chair. Then i got up, read some more and fell over again. Non stop fun. A constant stream of whit fired at you from beginning to end.

very funny
