Teacher's Grade: A-

The book's format is most similar to that of the original Magic School Bus series, where the narrative of the story is broken up with the inclusion of scientific facts. On the positive side are brief chapters with cliffhanger endings that are sure to get kids to want to turn to the next page. Also on the bright side is the wealth of science facts that accompany the story. Negatively, the science facts disrupt the flow of the story, and the story itself seems very forced. This is an engaging story that is sure to excite 2nd-4th grade boys, especially ones who like superheroes and bugs. I do wonder what will happen when they discover that the superhero has no super powers.
