This realistic story will appeal to both boys and girls. It is fast paced and filled with adventure. In following along with the main characters' quest for treasure, readers will learn about the southwest canyon country where the novel is set. Our hero and heroine learn much about themselves and their environment as they complete their quest. As a teacher and reading specialist I would heartily recommend this book as a class novel, partner read or simply to be enjoyed by any young person.
