Can't Get Enough by Sarah Mayberry Harlequin Blaze # 211 - October 2005 Working for the same publishing company, but a few floors apart, Jack and Claire seem to have rubbed each other the wrong way. Claire is annoyed with Jack's office playboy reputation and his cocky attitude. Jack thinks Claire is uptight and prissy and that she needs changes in her life. Stuck in an elevator alone with each other for four hours, soon has them both realizing there is more to the other than meets the eye. They're soon confiding in each other and taking off their clothes to stifle the summer heat. But it's not just lack of air conditioning that's heating up the elevator! After the most amazing sex either has experienced, they suddenly find themselves on path neither dreamed they follow. There's a lot in this book; sexy love scenes, of course, but a lot of emotional intensity. Ms. Mayberry creates likable characters that have pasts and depths to them. Even though some of the topics are intense, there is plenty of witty dialogue to help lift the mood. Over all a very good debut for Ms. Mayberry I'm looking forward to reading her next Blaze! I received this book as part of my Blaze subscription. Once again, I think I passed this one by because of the cover models. Both models look like second year college students. I know Blaze is trying to attract the younger reader, but with characters that have executive positions in a publishing company, I would have liked the models to be more representative. Unless, I'm misreading the characters to suit my own age (almost to the top of the hill and looking over LOL) This was an excellent debut for Ms. Mayberry

He's everything she despises--a babe magnet with more notches on his belt than a millipede has legs. And he thinks his coworker is wound so tightly she irons her underwear at night. Two people couldn't be farther apart. But when Jack Brook and Claire Marsden get stuck in a sweltering elevator one afternoon, it's a different story. By the time they're rescued, Jack and Claire have swapped confidences and oh, they had the most spectacular sex of their lives! Back in the office they're still butting heads over projects, but now there's a heightened awareness added to the mix. With this kind of tension in the air, how can they resist another round of sexy indulgence?
Wow!

What a stellar debut! I occasionally read Blazes when I'm looking for a fairly quick read with a bit of sizzle! What a find! CAN'T GET ENOUGH is a quick-paced, intense, highly emotional read ... oh, and it didn't hurt that it was H-O-T!! So often, I find myself disenchanted, all the sexual tension gone after the first love scene. Mayberry manages to increase the tension while pulling you deeper into the angst and conflicts of the hero/heroine. I stayed up all night with this one - don't miss it. I'm sold on Mayberry and plan on buying every book she puts out.
YUM - a great new author

I picked up "Can't Get Enough" on a whim and I'm so glad that I did! I've read quite a few Blaze books and this one is a real stand-out from the crowd. It had all of the great sexy elements and sexual tension that you expect from the Blaze line, but this story had the added dimension of deeper characters with some real-life issues. The icing on the cake was the humorous dialogue and snappy phrases. I'm very much looking forward to "Cruise Control" coming out in May!
