Short bursts of inspiration to take you through a tough time

I read this book while I was doing chemotherapy. I was very tired and a bit overwhelmed by all the information out there about my cancer. I couldn't read for more than half an hour at a time. What was so refreshing about Cancer Busters is that it's organized in easily-digestable chapters of a few pages each. You can pick up the book and get something out of it in a short time.Although I don't know whether Eddie Fitzgerald is still alive (and I am curious), I know he helped me keep a positive attitude during a very challenging time in my life. I think that is so key to managing the disease. He helped me to see beyond my cancer and to handle with humor and grace what life handed me. Eddie's a priest, but you don't have to be religious to get value from this book. It discusses the mundane and basic idiosyncracies of living with cancer as well as the possibilities for spiritual growth while living with the disease.
