A remarkable story

Campingly Yours remarkably captures the indescribable magic that embodies camp. Not only will you read about Tom's hilarious camping experiences, such as the nicknames and the pudding in his face, but you will read about how these experiences influenced him as a person. It's a funny, heart-warming, and honest account of the author's life. I would recommend this book to anyone (even the non-camper!). You will cry and laugh...and be brought back to your fondest childhood memories...I know I was brought right back to Chippewa Ranch Camp.

I loved this book!

Campingly Yours is the best book I've read in a long time. I stayed up all night finishing it, and could not believe how hard I both laughed and cried (often at the same time). Thomas C. Adler fully captures the camping experience, but this book is more than just that. It speaks to relationships in a raw and touching way that will appeal to campers and non-campers alike. Read this book!

The Best Camp Book Ever Written

As a long time camper, CIT, and counselor at a camp nearby the one Tom owned/directed for 27 years, I found myself not being able to put this book down after I received it. And how could you blame me? For years I've been trying to put camp's indescribable features into words, and Tom does just that and more. He lets the readers know that there is more going on behind those fences than softball, basketball, swimming, etc., and actually a place where few are lucky to experience. For everyone who has every experienced camp, this book is perfect for you, as Tom's vivid and detailed memories will enlighten you and give you goose bumps that will spark your own camp memories and help you remember those happy times. And for those who have never experienced camp, this book may in fact be just as important for you as you are the majority. It will let you know why your friend went back to that same place where they do the same thing for all of those years. I promise you, that after reading Tom's book, you will now wish you had the same experience as well.

Ah camp. Tom's book captures it perfectly. Hard to imagine a more honest, touching and insightful book about summer camp and how great it can be. Having fun, making fast friends, and building a foundation for the rest of your life. That's camp and Tom captures it better than anything except..... of course...... being there. Great for parents before and after sending your kids to camp. Like the President of Harvard said. 1 year at a good camp is better than 4 years at my place. You'll love it, and learn a lot too. Have fun and think who else you can share this special book with.
