In this writing I am frank to confess that I am close to home, as I was born and reared in the hot-bed of Campbellism, and the first twenty years of my life, until I bade my native land adieu for the prosecution of my collegiate education (which was an absolute necessity, as there were no colleges in all that region of country in 1853), I heard them preach flve times as much as all other denominations.
