Like an old friend with a great story!

Well I was given this book for Christmas by my mother, and was not that excited about starting it. I read mostly action mystery novels ie. Tedd Bell, or James patterson; but this book is GREAT! it started a little slow and has some overly descriptive areas but the flow of the story is good and keeps you turning the pages. Sprinkled into the story are historical anthropological facts that really give you a good sense of the way it was in the period. I hope Mr. West writes another book soon, I really enjoyed this one! FIVE STARS!!!! A VERY ENJOYABLE READ!!!
