In Lucia’s own thoughts; a letter to the word!! A blessing. The way you should think of God. I lov

I think I will read it again before I pass it on.

Doing what Mary Asks

This wonderful book not only speaks of the Fatima messages, but Sr. Lucia tells us the same thing that the Blessed Mother told us in Scripture: Do whatever He tells us. People are prone to look for signs and wonders and God has allowed the Blessed Mother to come to us in such miraculous ways to get our attention since we humans tend to ignore what He Himself has told us from the beginning of mankind. This very practical book is a wakeup call to a culture immersed in itself instead of charity towards our fellow man and a culture that ignores that there is an afterlife for which we should be preparing.

Lucy of Fatima

I got the book yesterday, and haven't read it yet. But many of the photos in it, supposedly of Lucy, actually are of the woman who impersonated her for about forty-five years. For evidence, see: [...] Since I don't know much, I'm wondering how much of the book was written by Sister Lucy, and how much, if any, by the impersonator. Philip Martin

Truly the work of a Saint

You must read this book. It is a wonderful work of a true woman of God. Lucia explains, not only the messages she was given, but also how we should live our lives. It is a true and complete explaination of live with God. I found it rewarding, I still read it. Every day I read a chapter. I don't think I will ever put it down. God Bless

" A Little While Longer . . . "

"Fatima" . . . "Our Lady Of Fatima" . . . "Our Lady Of The Rosary" . . . probably every Catholic has heard of the events which occurred at the Cova da Iria in Fatima from May through October of 1917 . . . and the apparition/visitation from heaven of Mary to three shepherd children: Lucia, Jacinta, and Franceso. Over the years myriad numbers of books have been written telling the story . . . and the message (even motion pictures have been made recounting the story). This book titled "CALLS" FROM THE MESSAGE OF FATIMA has a particular import -- it was written by Sister Lucia dos Santos who was one of those three shepherd children . . . she was ten years old at the time of the apparition and only recently passed into eternity nearing the age of 100. However, there is an even more providential aspect to THIS volume - it speaks of the message of Fatima, which is simply the message of the Gospel, in a way which has practical spirituality for any reader regardless of whether one happens to be "Catholic" or other Christian denomination, or even if one doesn't have roots in the Christian religious traditions . . . one can find "something' in this volume which will helpt to guide his/her own spiritual life in its pilgrimage to God and to "the things of God". Sister Lucia doesn't write as a "sophisticated academic theologian" but as a "person of faith" sharing what she has learned throughout her long years ("Jacinta and Franceso i will take to heaven soon but YOU must remain a little while longer to make my Immaculate Heart known" Lucia was told by Mary when she was yet ten years old . . . ) and what she learned from her heavenly visitation and evolution in the life of "Gospel" as a Carmelite nun. One can read this book beginning to end . . . or at any and various chapter headings at any given moment . . . it can be read and re-read and re-read with always a perspective and understanding somehow taking root in one's mind and heart and soul. It is a book that tells you "to pray" . . . and even helps with "how to pray" (an excellent exposition of "the rosary" as a guide . . . and even simply reading this volume itself becomes "a prayer" . . . Sister Lucia's "little time longer" with us has passed and she was "called" to heaven where she undoubtedly reunited with her childhood friends (and cousins) Jacinta and Franceso. However she STILL remains a presence with us fulfilling her work and mission to "make known the Immaculate Heart" through the memories of her experiences with heaven . . . by memories of her life of prayer and monasticism . . . and for "us" by her written thoughts and words in her memoirs and in THIS volume: "CALLS" FROM THE MESSAGE OF FATIMA ! I recommend that whether you are a "believer" or not, get this book . . . and don't just read it once over. Read it to let the spirit of "Fatima" touch you . . . and then do the main thing Sister Lucia recommends: pray! (And i'm certain that Sister Lucia, with Jacinta and Francesco, will in
