Just got through reading this book....

...and I have to say, I agree with others, that it is one of the better books I have read in a good while, and I am >very< discriminatory about what is and isn't good. This isn't your normal 'new agey' type book. This is one person's experience, it is also a 'how to' on getting a hand-up to doing your own communication, and it is also 'advice from friends', human and alien.

I already knew I had problems with fear--that is the basis for worry, and I worry alot! However, finding out how deep-seated fear is within myself and society in general was an eye-opener to say the least. We are such a fearing and violent race, but with such potential. (by race I mean human race, not color:) Regardless of whether you think her book is an authentic communique` or not, the information is very apropo to us on this planet as a whole group. Nothing but fighting and arguing amongst nations and factions within countries (including the US) to the point where those that want peace, nice surroundings and financial independence find their life definitely disrupted. Fear that someone may get something more or better or have more money or more things.....instead of helping each other to dissolve our problems, feed the needy and help our planet. Yes, we are definitely in need of a planetary overhaul. And if those outside our 'immediate' planetary family want to offer help and advice, I say 'YES'.

Very well done

This book gives the reader an uncomplicated way to understand who the otherworldly beings are. She input some of her own experiences along with how you can have your own. There were many inserts in the book that touched on the Spiritual aspect which is where all things in life begin. If you want to know more about otherworldly beings then this is the book to read. The last nice aspect of the book is Lisette always says you have a choice to do this or not. She lets it be your decision. Thank you Lisette.

Calling on Extraterrestrials

I had the pleasure of reading Lisette Larkins book, entitled Calling on Extraterrestrials. I found Lisette's book to be fascinating. It is very hard for folks to except that others from else where are visiting this planet. It also takes a brave person to step up and tell their story. Lisette has done just this and gave us all something to think about. These are her personal experiences with extraterrestrials in which Lisette is relating to us all and giving us some insight on how these beings interact with so many of us. As an UFO/Abduction investigator I found the book to be refreshing, well written, and I would recommend that others add it to their collection. It shows what people can achieve with an open mind. I also have Lisette Larkins other books, "Talking to Extraterrestrials" and the new book which will be out on book shelves in May 2004, Listening to Extraterrestrials. I am looking forward to sitting down and reading these enjoyable books. HBCC UFO Research

Also serves as solid advice for living one's life

Author Lisette Larkins draws from her personal experience of being mentored by extraterrestrials in Calling On Extraterrestrials: 11 Steps To Inviting Your Own UFO Encounters. This is essentially an instructional guide to inviting contact with enlightened beings that have a message for those of humanity willing to listen. The individual steps (which involve learning forgiveness, energy, celebration, and more), also serve as solid advice for living one's life regardless of how one feels about extraterrestrial encounters. Calling On Extraterrestrials is an insightful, straightforward primer which is deliberately)....

A new view of the CE4 phenomenon

In this book Lisette larkins (LL) offers a whole new view of the experience that is the close encounter of the Fourth Kind (CE4). As a researcher and hypnotherapist, I have heard many of these same observations from other experiencers. LL describes the CE4 experience from the inside - in a unique way. Many other books study the phenomenon from the outside, describe the experiencer as a victim, or simply try to debunk the phenomenon. However, this book views encounters from the perspective of the proactive experiencer - work with the phenomenon on its own terms. To LL, being an experiencer means being in a relationship with the phenomenon. This is the first book to talk about how to take the initiative in the CE4 relationship. It helps you to understand how, and what this could mean in your life.I noted a few minor issues with the book. One is that LL tends to gloss over the darker side of the phenomenon. Many abductees have much less positive experiences than what the book portrays. But LL simply says that you call the phenomenon to yourself, and experience what you called. So be careful what you wish for. All in all, I thought that she could have said much more about discernment. Also, I wonder if some of the phenomena she depicts as being E.T. in origin might better be thought of as shamanic. Her examples of contact via nature symbols, shapeshifting, etc., might just as easily be thought of in that light. The question arose in my mind as to just who/what is being contacted. Her view of what an E.T. is seems to be pretty loose. others may well disagree with her. I thought that this book could have taken a greater look at this.Much about the book reminded me of many meditative/spiritual-growth paths. I wonder if what LL views as preparing for contact isn't simply a well rounded spiritual practice. Read the book and see for yourelf. The book is an easy read, and has a very positive tone. Whether you are an experiencer, therapist, researcher or just an interested party, this book is a must on your reading list.
