Callie, Get Your Groom by Julianna Morris released on Feb 23, 2000 is available now for purchase. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Callie, Get Your Groom is the first book in a three book trilogy and is by far the best of the three. In fact I wouldn't even waste my time with the other two if you are expecting Ross and Donovan's stories to be as delightful. Neither Ross nor Donovan act at all like they do in this book and while the second book about Ross is an okay read, Donovan's story is painfully horrid as he is matched with a shrew with one of the biggest chips on her shoulder that I have ever seen and neither Ross nor Donovan are at all recognizable from this book. A real shame since this book had me laughing out loud several times and really delighting in the romance between Callie and Mike. This book stands on its own and doesn't need the other two especially since Ross and Donovan are patently NOT the same characters they are portrayed in this very excellent read.Callie has been in love with Mike since she was a kid and decides to finally do something about it so she takes Mike's sister's place (her best friend and roommate) when Mike asks his sister to come to Alaska for the summer to help run the office part of Mike's and his partners charter plane business as their office person is taking maternity leave. Callie has a big job ahead of her since she is the daughter of a preacher and everyone, especially Mike, always looked at her as the perfect little good girl. So Callie starts out by dressing in very sexy, provocative clothes that has Mike taking more cold showers than can possibly be good for someone's health and acting not at all like the demure little preacher's daughter that Mike remembers from his youth. Ross and Donovan are a delight in helping Callie show Mike that she is all grown up by pretending to be romantically interested (and in truth if she wasn't in love with Mike both of them would be happy to truly fall in love with her) and they both think that Callie and Mike make a perfect couple. The romance is fun and the secondary characters including Ross, Donovan and Curmudgeon are entertaining and make you want you want to meet them.
You always remember your first love!

Callie Webster had never forgotten Michael Fitzpatrick, so when he needed temporary office help, she was only too happy to fly to Alaska and be his sister's unannounced replacement. But now that she's in Alaska, Callie has to find a way to get Mike to notice her in more than a "big brotherly" way. With Callie's arrival, Mike had to admit to himself that his sister's innocent friend was all grown up now. And around the eligible men in Alaska, that could spell trouble. Especially with Callie dating every available man around. But was Mike's protectiveness "brotherly" concern for his sister's friend - or did his grown up heart want Callie for his own?A fun, fast-paced read you can't put down, "Callie, Get Your Groom" is a terrific read!
A Rollicking good read

CALLIE, GET YOUR GROOM is a fun, fast-paced romp with likable characters. I enjoyed the story of Callie the PK (ie Preacher's Kid) setting out to win the heart of Michael, the object of her childhood crush who is now one of Alaska's most confirmed bachelors. Ms. Morris's three book "Bridal Fever" series is off to a good start.
