Whether you are a Christian or not, Janet's story and the truth she shares in this book can help you. Anyone could pick up this book and find out just how God can help someone come out of a homosexual lifestyle if they want to. Anyone could pick up this book and find out what the Bible really says about homosexuality and the way God loves and calls out to people who are walking down that road. Janet has been there and she has a lot to offer those who are hurting as she once hurt. She exposes the realities of the homosexual lifestyle and confronts the way today's media glamorizes it. She also challenges Christians to put away hypocrisy about the issue of homosexuality and reach out to hurting people with the love and mercy of Jesus Christ.
Wonderful Words of Wisdom From one of God's Called Out People

I was truly touched by this book. Janet Boynes had a tough life, She was physically abused by her strict mother, molested at a young age, addicted to cocaine, and part of the lesbian community for 14 years. She accepted Christ while in her early twenties, but she wasn't ready to surrender her life to Christ. Through the help of some godly friends along the way, Janet came back to the Lord and left the lesbian lifestyle. She was "called out," an expression she coined based on 1 Peter 2:9, which says "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may delcare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness and into His wonderful light." The second part of the book was actually my favorite, because Janet goes on to give some Spirit-anointed wisdom. She talks about how to minister to loved ones caught in the web of homosexuality. She challenges the church to preach against the sin, but to love and warmly welcome the sinner. She says on more than one occasion that we don't need to clean up our act in order to come to Christ. We come as we are, and HE cleans up our act! We then go on to live the way He wants us to live. Janet also tackles tough subjects like "Are practicing homosexuals born gay?" She is not sure about this (she doesn't believe that she was born gay), but she does conclude that it really doesn't make a difference. We are called to live for God no matter what tendencies we have. Janet repeatedly stresses that she is not a psychologist or a trained therapist, but she speaks with a wisdom and a compassion that can only come from the Holy Spirit. Get this book and be blessed!
