We Are All "Called By Name"

Typically, people think of a "calling" as the impetus to professional ministry; Robert Furey challenges us to consider that each of us has a calling, unique to our personal strengths, gifts, and even weaknesses. In his definition of a calling, spirituality of some type, service and purpose are key: a calling is not just performing the task at which one is most skilled, but using one's gifts to make the world a better place, somehow. Each of us is here to contribute to the betterment of the whole. I found the book inspiring and well-written, insightful and thought-provoking. I was impressed enough to order copies for the local library, and would therefore recommend it unconditonally, especially if you are seeking meaning and purpose in your own life or exploring the nature of your own calling in life.
