Call Waiting is an extreme book about a teenager named Karen who starts realizing that her boyfriend is spending less time with her. Scared that she will lose her boyfriend Karen starts spying on him. She then figures out that her boyfriend is going out with another girl. To make Karen's boyfriend love her again she makes up that she gets terrible calls in the middle of the night. The calls say...someone will kill Karen. However it was all a lie and Ethen (Karen's boyfriend) believed it. Soon as you might of guessed, Karen's boyfriend found out, but he wasn't mad. The bad thing is as soon as Karen started going back out with Ethen she started getting calls that would kill her......but this time it was true!!!Call Waiting is a great book, that everyone would love. If you enjoyed R.l Stines other young adults books then I recommend you this one. Read it!!!! You can't put it down!!! 5 stars.
The Call that could Kill

Call Waiting The most intriguing yet creepy book I've ever read is Call waiting. From the moment I picked it up I knew it was going to be scary by the blood on the phone receiver on the cover of the book. I opened it and read the first line which said, "The frightening phone calls began less than an hour after Karen," a teenager who was skinny, had dark hair, and dark eyes, "had the fight with Ethan," her boyfriend. At that time I knew it was going to be scary. As I read on it stated the tone of the book. "One week before the fight, on a snowy, bone-chilling, Saturday night, Karen Masters pulled her blue Corolla onto Jefferson, Ethan's street. The tires crunched over the salted pavement as Karen eased on the curb and cut the headlights." It immediately sent chills down my spine. I think the scariest part of the book was when Karen actually got the real phone calls. "Leave me alone! Do your hear me?" Karen cried angrily. " But I'm inside your brain Karen," the frightening voice rasped. " I can't leave you alone. I'm going to kill you. Maybe tonight." I was shocked at the next part when it said, "Karen started to cry out again-but she muffled herself when she heard the sound. A sound behind the rasping voice. One sound. Karen listened to the sound. Heard it again clearly. And knew who the caller was." Trust me the caller really isn't who you think. To find out whom the caller is you will have to read the book. Believe me this book really kept me wanting to read more. I would highly recommend it.
