First let me say I love Carol finch as a writer. She brings laughter, romance, love and tears into her stories. Call Of The Wolf is about a young girl (Tara) that has been mistreated all her young life and is also an orphaned. She takes 5 orphaned children into her care to start a new life for them away from pain and misery they have all incured in there young lives. John Wolf (White Wolf)is a lawman who gets shot by his half Indian brother. He is found by Tara and nursed back from the dead. John made a promise to his adopted Indian father to bring his Indian half brother back to the reservatoin and to help the Apache Nation servive the on slaught of the white man on their land. The orphaned Children in this story are wonderful and courageous. A true family united in love and family vaules. I a specially loved 5 year old Flora, she is an lovable child who worms her way into John's heart right from the start and the way she says John's name (Zohn Whoof) is a riot. I recommend this book to anyone with a heart and without one. I also would like to know if there is any sequels out there of the chilren? If not there should be. This ones a keeper!
