Friends

Dawn and Sunny used to be best friends. Now they're not because Sunny's mom has cancer and is gonna die. So Sunny has had a lot of trouble and has had been hanging out with the wrong crowd. So maybe now that Sunny's mom is really sick they can become friends again. Sunny is starting to be cool with Dawn because she knows that Dawn is a really good friend to her. This is a great book.

Gotta read book

I think this book was interesting and fun. The characters are cool. Ducky is fun and smart. I feel that he was drinking because of peer preasure. Sunny seems to be a little unrealistic to me. but she is dealing with her feelings differently than i would so maybe that is why she doesn't seem the best. Maggie is my favorite. she seems really real. she's got preasure on her from her dad so she's obbsessed about how she looks and her weight. Amelia is also realistic. She's down to earth and smart like my friend katy. (Hi katy)Dawn is also great. She';s spoiled, and obbsessive (like me) but i think she has presure too. Jill is the most stupid and unrealistic character. She is a little baby and just makes me want to barf. (in #13 Maggie, she's WEIRD) the book is real and if you want to read a book that's funny, sweet real and something everyone should like (unless they don't) read this bookWE HOPE YOU LIKE THIS BOOKKKKKKK!

Good re-union! Hope it lasts...

Love the BSC as well. Dawn is a wonderful friend. No wonder the BSC in Connecticut love her. If only Sunny would appreciate the friend she has in Dawn. Sunny does grow up a little here when she finally opens up to Dawn & lets Dawn comfort her when her mother is hospitalized again. Sunny sometimes seems to get mired in self-pity. That's one reason I like the BSC...some of them, especially Kristy, Mary Anne, & Abby have had rocky lives, but they don't wallow in self-pity. It's good to feel sad when something bad happens like a parent being seriously ill, but not healthy to use that as an excuse for irresponsible behavior & self-pity. it's great that even though Dawn was mad at Sunny( & I'm sure Dawn was often frusterated with Sunny), she never stopped feeling for Sunny. Also great is that Ann has kept Jill in the series. Oh, I do hope Ann writes about Jill like an earlier reviewer mentioned; Jill is a lovely character & is as sweet & couragous as Mary Anne! It's also good that Dawn keeps up her friendship with the Connecticut BSC.

The Best California Diary Yet

This is one of the best California Diaries. I liked the part about Dawn and Sunny deciding to be friends. Also the part where Ducky makes a very responsible descion at the concert. The parts about Sunny's mom where very sad though. I loved this book.

Very touching

This book really was sad. Dawn's books were never the best, but this one is one of my favorites now. I can't wait for Sunny 3! I wish these books came out monthly! I am a big fan, and these books mean a lot to me!
