I've used this book to supplement my text book for college level Calc I. The material is a bit easier than my text so it gives me practice on some easier problems before doing the ones in my text. Like another reviewer has stated, you do need a strong Algebra background before you will be able to do the problems.
How interesting....

My mother purchased this book for me to give me something to do over the summer. Let me tell you right now that the title does not hold its weight. The book comes in 20 sections which take at least 45 minutes to complete on average for an average student per section. Still it is not all that bad. The book describes the elements and steps on what is needed to solve various problems in calculus. You do need a stong understanding of algebra before tackeling this book. The book came in in less than a week which really astounded me. Right now i am working on it and as with every other self improvement book out there, it seems an in depth explaination of how to from a to b. I does tell you how to get there but it could be better. Overall this book gets the job done and it is worth the buy.
