Why the best books are "out of print"?

I knew about this book in a library. It goes straight to the point whithout losing in any moment the level of treatment a serious book of calculus has to have. It has a lot of exercises ranging from the easy ones to the challenging a student of mathematics ones, so you never get bored or dissatisfaied.
