At age 14 Caitlyn almost suffered the same fate her parents suffered when they were drowned in a boating accident. Mildred saved Caitlyn's life and a bond was formed that would forever efffect her life.When she was 15 Caitlyn is raped by her one of her uncles. Her grandmother (her guardian) believed the act was consenual. Caitly left the family home and 9 months later two infants are born, a thousand miles apart. They both would have a l;ife altering effect on Caitlyn's life. Caitly had to hand the infant to her friend Mildred and thought she would see either of them again. The infant born at the time of her mother's death would have a life altering effing on Caitlyn's life. The two infants have similar soulding names, and caitlyn believed the child she saw, before and after the child underwent open heart surgery was the child she had to hand to Nildred. Her efforts to find the child she handed to Mildred were thwarted when she was accused of killing her uncle, the man who raped her. When she finally thought she had found the child her efforts were again thwarted by he uncle's friend, Paul. He believed that both Caitlyn and the child were impediments to his freedom and financial future. He felt It was essential that both be disposed of. In her life Cailtyn had only one true friend and that was Jarvis the family butler. He would have an integral effect on not only her freedom but her life.
