We got this book because we travel frequently with our 2.5 year old and he loves to read stories about airplanes. He is also a big Caillou fan (although I think that Caillou can be pretty bratty and have tried to discourage it). Caillou is actually very well mannered in this book and I like it very much HOWEVER, for smaller travellers I have a couple of minor warnings... 1. He mentions his desire to be back on the ground: not a good thing to even bring up if your toddler is getting at all anxious, regardless of where the story leads. So I skip that line when we read it. 2. Caillou gets to visit the cockpit. An impossible scenario for our youngsters in the Post 9-11 World. My son did not understand why he can't go see the pilots in the cockpit too. We've gotten over it, but until you can explain that the cockpit is closed to your child, I would make sure s/he is strapped into their seat! (I really thought I was going to havea run-in with the Fire Marshalls on one flight! - maybe that's just my overly enthusiastic son!)
Exactly like the television show

If your child likes Caillou on TV, then he or she will love this book. It follows word for word an episode from the show. It's a great book for small children who have, or will be, traveling by plane. In some of the older Caillou books we had purchased, the characters were drawn differently than on the show. In this book, however, they are identical to the TV show characters and familiar to children.
