First exciting page-turning novel in the C.A.D.S. action series!

They're called C.A.D.S.- Computerized Attack/Defense System. The next generation of America's high-tech soldier. Seven foot tall battle armor suits that are equipped with flame-throwers, armor piercing shells, machine guns and much more. all operated by voice command. However no one dreamed that they would become America's last line of defense. The unthinkable has happened. The Soviet Union's nuclear first strike has left America crippled, tens of millions dead, and it's armed forces decimated. Now the Soviets begin their sweep across the American landscape to achieve complete victory. Only one thing stands in their way. Colonel Dean Sturgis and his C.A.D.S. unit. Now, untested in battle, the C.A.D.S. must race against time to rescue the President from his White House bunker before the Soviet's can capture him and demand the surrender of the United States. The first exciting page-turning novel in the C.A.D.S. action series!

After the bombs droped

This book was so good I read it about 8 times in the 10 year period I have owned it not realizing that there are many more books in this series. This book and the ones that follow are a great look into what life might be life in post nuclear world for an elite post nuclear task force unit.

C.A.D.S.-A great book for boys that love their country

I read C.A.D.S. when I was about 10 years old (23 years ago). Amazingly I still remember it! It was the first novel that held my attention enough to read start to finish. I'm a very busy man now or else I would be tempted to read it again; however my sons WILL read this book. My father taught me to 'improvise, adapt & overcome'. This book told the story of doing this. It wasn't full of gore and sex (at least not that I can remember) so it's safe and best of all IT WAS WRITTEN BEFORE POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!! This is a great story of patriotism with a futuristic twist.
