I have a 1970 Popular Science book club edition of this work that I have treasured and used frequently for decades. Much of the furniture in my home was designed and built from information in this book. It is an excellent reference for both beginners and skilled woodworkers. There are lots of specific facts, suggested techniques, and design drawings that help move a project to successful completion. By comparison many of the new glossy cabinet making books now sold in home improvement stores are incomplete and superficial.
One of the finest texts available today.

I am a Mastercraftsman, and I use this text not only for training apprentices, but for myself when I have a woodworking question. I feel that this is the finest woodworking textbook available to the serious woodworker today. Very highly recommended. Robert Black
