Susan McKeever opens the world of butterflies to all who open her well organized and beautifully illustrated book. Butterflies are grouped according to the habitats where they are found. McKeever's book has allowed this retired science teacher to pass along the wonder of nature to a new generation, her grandchildren. The directions for the Butterfly Safari and other projects are clear and easy to follow. Her "catch and realease" technique is a welcome change from the old "kill and pin" mentality. I especially liked her emphasis on keeping an accurate field journal.
