The author has even included numerous Family sketches of persons from the county: Anthony, Austin, Barge, Benson, Butler (3), Caldwell, Cooper, Crittenden, Dunham, Eskew, Flowers, Gandy, Glasgow, Lazenby, Lloyd, McKellar, Milner, Nix, Pitts, Poole, Porter, Reynolds, Seale, Sims, Stallings (3), Stevenson, Urquhart, and Wimbrey. The Index mentions approximately 4,500 entries of persons within this book.
