Appropriate for a course in executive information systems or decision support systems, this text combines research findings and practical experience to examine executive information systems (EIS). The book describes EIS and shows how it differs from other applications. It also looks at what the future holds for EIS. Also included in the text is coverage of decision support systems, artificial intelligence, such as Expert Systems, and groupware such as GroupSystems and Lotus Notes. The book aims to provide students with research-based knowledge and practical tips to aid their studies.
I found this book to be a wealth of knowledge, but I am a novice with EIS. If you are already experienced with EIS, I'm not sure if this is the book for you.
