Parts of western New York state are currently experiencing heavy snowfall. As the temperature drops further, a historic storm that has already slowed traffic on major highways threatens to bring down trees, damage property, and knock out power.

In at least two different locations, the total amount of snowfall has now accumulated to more than 6 feet. A total of 77 inches of snow was reported to have fallen in Orchard Park, the site of the NFL game that had been postponed due to inclement weather.
