Adorable book!

This is my 6-year old daughter's new favorite book. She checked it out from the school library and wants to keep renewing it. I'm going to need buy our own copy. She is just on the cusp of learning to read, and I think her love for this book has finally helped her over the hump - she is reading it so well! The bonus is that we love listening to her read it, because this book is so adorable! I completely agree with the other reviewer that it's hard to pick what we like better, the pictures or the story. This author/illustrator is very talented. I'm surprised by the other reviewer's comments saying that "the writing is awful". I'm not sure what that reviewer is referring to - the story, writing style, or vocabulary, but we think all are terrific.

Great cat book

We bought this when my daughter was 2 after checking it out at the library A LOT. She thinks it's hysterical. They have the cats knitting and reading and flossing. My daughter will say, "cats don't read!" Then burst out laughing, everytime. It really is a must if your little one is a cat lover.

Wonderful Book

This book is so wonderful! My 22 month old daughter wants "Bud & Gabby" read to her every night. It has been one of her favorite books for the past 4 months. The story about true friendship is very sweet and will certainly pull at the heart strings of anyone who loves cats. The illustrations are so colorful and fun. The story line is short and sweet. I only wish our cats could knit!!! ;)

Unforgettable!

A great new writer/illustrator of children's books is born in the single person of Anne Davis! I don't know which delights me more, the artwork or the story, just as I can't decide whether I'm more amused by Gabby's knitting project or Bud's hairball. Everyone will love this, children and adults and pets alike.
