Wonderful Story - A must read

I really was enthralled by this story of good verses evil, an obession so strong that it literally crosses the boundary of time, and a woman struggling to free her soul. The insight to Indian legends and the people seemed to be very detail and a real eye-opener for someone like myself - who knows very little about this culture. The story revolves around an ancient healer who begins to use his power for evil and in doing so, his lover rejects him. Her spirit flees from him and now resides in our heroine, a modern-day woman who is struggling with her own feelings of inadequency in regards to her life. His spirit has searched for centuries for her and to reclaim what he deems as his. There is alot of mystic aspects in the story - with the main one revolving around the ability to change ones shape. Very intriguing storyline and I could not put the book down - I was so caught up in the struggles. I finished this book in about 3 days - it was that good!
