Christian-based Science at its best!

Absolutely the best book I've read on the subject of Creation, Evolution and how Science and God work together. I teach Sunday School for middle schoolers and Bible studies to adults, and use references from this book often. It is an easy read, but fascinating and funny, too. Good for ages 13 and up.

Addressing the book and facts instead of the authors... -_-

What Ralph forgets to mention about this book is the facts stated in this book. Bruce and Stan definitely bring up some theories, but definitely talk about astronomy, archeology, geology, and so forth. Ralph attacks the authors rather than attacking the book, which is a red herring (if you know your literary styles of writing :D). Bruce and Stan do talk about theories though. They speak of the theories of the Big Bang and evolution (both unproven) and the theory of God (also unproven). Neither is 100%, but Bruce and Stan give facts of which the reader can decide whether the facts leads to Creationism or Naturalism. Of course, there can be only so much written in one book trying to address a WHOLE, big, crazy, unorganized, general topic... And of course the authors are Christians, so facts for Creationism can be boldly mentioned and facts for naturalism can be downsized. But I found the book very fair in its facts and the evaluation of the facts. Definitely put into layman's terms, this book is easy to read but requires much contemplation. Clearing the mind of bias is quite hard to do, but if done, this book is a great asset for the formulation of belief. This book is exactly that. Belief needs facts. This is definitely not a blind faith Christian book, but a book based on thinking critically. Kinda how Virginia Wolf was very asexual (in that gender did not matter, but mind, spirit and soul), we must be a-biased (is there a word for that lol). For every book like this, that is what the author intends, correct? Come with a clear mind and an open heart. Ralph seemed to have shunned the book since he saw the title. DON'T DO THAT. :P Hope those that actually read this review take into account the way books are supposed to be read because I immensely enjoyed it doing it this way :)

I strongly recommend this book for any layman new to the Science-Bible discussion."Bruce and Stan's Guide to How It All Began" is an excellent summary of real issues related to the Science-Bible and Creation-Evolution debate. They do a great job of keeping the main things the main thing and explaining the technical details in terms that layman can understand. I plan to use this book to supplement classes that I plan to teach on Genesis, Science and the Bible in the future.
