Astute Observations from behind the lines WW II

Brother Leland's Experiences - WW II is a remarkable collection of observations from the European theater during the war. Leland Chapman was not a combatant but rather worked behind the lines. He had a propensity to seek out and interact with the common man or woman. Through his narrative we learn bits and pieces about life under the cloud of war.Not an action thriller, but rather a very moving account of how individual lives were affected by the global conflict of WW II. I found the book fascinating and readily recommend it to others interested in the human condition under the stress of war.
