this one doesn't dissapoint

This is one great book, but don't read it unless you've read 1-4, because you need the info from those books so your not too confused. Ryushi, along with Whist, continues his quest for revenge on his brother, Takami, for betraying Parakka and killing his father. Ryushi wants revenge, but he is not blinded by it, and he is being very careful, espesially since the untrustworthy and dangerous Whist is leading the way. But it turns out that Ryushi isn't careful enough, and he soon finds himself a prisoner of Takami. But, strangely enough, Ryushi gets what he wants: a one-on-one battle with Takami without either of them using spirit stones. But will Takami play fair? Meanwhile, in the unclaimed lands, Kia and the others await an answer from the Koth Taraan on if they will help, Hochi tries do discover the true meaning of broken sky. All the Koth Macquai told them was that it meant "divion with the eventual hope of unity." The Parakkans discover that one of them will have to take a test to find if the Koth Taraan will help or not. Kia rises to the challange immediatly. She is told soon after that it will be a challange of charactor, and that she will discover new information. But what does this mean...

broken sky is the best!!

This book is the conclusion to the broken sky series. It starts a year later, with a stranger named Mi'atte, who works in the mines and can't remember anything that happened to her before one year ago. But, as you will discover very early in the book, She is not really a stranger. Meanwhile, Ryushi, now known by many as the hero who slain princess Aurin(but some people who have read the 6th book know better) roams with his bonded wyvern, Araceil, around Kirin Taq, with many tales following him. Calica, along with Gerdi, Jaan, Iriqi, and Hochi, search everywhere they can to find a deliverer to disable the heartstone. It also seems that king Macaan is getting desperate and will do anything to wipe out Parraka. But nothing is as it seems in this tragic book of sacrifice, love, betrayl, suprises and mystery.

5 stars? More like 500!!!!!!!

Broken Sky is one of my favourite series (even though the reading level is grade 5 and I'm fourteen :). I found this to be an excellent book but not a very good ending for the series. Ryushi is now bonded with Araceil and is devoting almost all his time to sharpening his flying skills while Calica has to make an important decision, that could mean the end of the keriags. Hochi is still trying to figure out that mystery of the pendant given to him by tochaa while each of them silently mourn the deaths of their friends, Elani, Peliqua and Kia.But a girl is found in the desert. Mi'atte, she is called, and she knows not of the life she must've once had. She only knows the dark, wet mines where she spends most of her days. But someone is leaving her little clues, clues that make her yearn for her lost memories, clues that make her want to escape. . .This is filled with action, fantasy and interesting character development. But, as said before, this is not a good ending book! It seems unfinished, but I asked Chris Wooding to write another and he said it wouldn't happen. too bad. well, hope you enjoy this book!

Six Stars!!!

If you liked number five from the Broken Sky series the best, you'll change your mind as soon as you read this one. Ryushi is stilled a prisoner at Fane Aracq, but it hardly seems like he's a prisoner anymore... Gerdi makes his way into the palace but discovers that Ryushi is intent on staying, after finding out something about the Princess. Calica also finds out about the mysterious link between her and the Princess Aurin. I enjoyed this episode mainly because it toyed with emotion more than violence. This is most definitely worth a read. You'll kick yourself if you don't check this out.

John's Review

I think Broken Sky is a very good book, with all the elements that makes a book great to read. I would definitely recommend this book to those that like action \ fantasy. The book is about two twins, Ryushi and Kia, and how they are thrown into an awkward position, where they lose their home, family, and friends. So they join rebels in a rebellion against the evil king that took all of that away from them.
